Listed as World Heritage by UNESCO under the road to St Jacques de Compostela, the abbey church of Saint-Sever, dated the eleventh and twelfth centuries, is famous for its rich sculptural decoration and its six choir chapels staggered. Its 77 Romanesque capitals, five marble columns and three Gallo-Roman capitals reused, are so many wonders that are the hallmark of this historic monument. Take time to admire the sculptures of polychrome capitals, before a moment to stroll in the lovely garden of the cloister of the former Benedictine abbey. Then discover the treasure housed in the chapter house, with its exhibition of objects and liturgical vestments dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
