Aire-sur-l'Adour

Town Landes, located in the Tursan, bordering the Gers and Pyrenees-Atlantiques, Aire-sur-l'Adour is discovered according to its historical monuments and its pleasant banks of the Adour.
Declared World Heritage by UNESCO under the road to St Jacques de Compostela, Saint Quiteria church, located on the hill of Mas is famous for its Gothic portal and its vast crypt. The latter has the distinction of hosting the splendid sarcophagus of St. Quiteria white marble dating from the fourth century!
The heritage discovery of Aire-sur-l'Adour continues to the octagonal grain market to the nineteenth century, and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, whose walls contain woodwork and an organ of the eighteenth century.
Direction then the banks of the Adour for a relaxing walk or a picnic break at the edge of the water!
In the halls, place de l'Hôtel de Ville, a food market is held every Tuesday and Saturday morning.
